You will receive an assessment from your customer that includes the below parameters that you must fill in:

The AWS administrator email;
Account ID; and
Region site.

These three required parameters are not privately sourced and therefore are non-sensitive in terms of security.

Once these details have been provided and the assessment has been completed, you will receive an email that includes the following:

Enabling the AWS CIS benchmark via the security hub activation; and
Accepting the "handshake" with Findings triggering the API call to stream the relevant information.

Findings automatically supports the the CIS AWS Foundations Benchmark V.1.2.0.

From this benchmark's controls, the relevant data is transferred back into the Findings platform. If your customer required any other benchmarks to be transferred into the platform for scanning, we can configure this upon request.
